Las delegaciones de ambas partes se reunirán para discutir la fecha de instalación de la mesa de negociación, el inicio de un cese al fuego, el funcionamiento del mecanismo de verificación y sus protocolos y determinar qué países estarían involucrados en el proceso.
Andrey Avendaño es el jefe político de esta disidencia que tiene cerca de 3.200 personas armadas, comandadas por Iván Mordisco, quien no firmó el Acuerdo de Paz de 2016. Se estima que están distribuidos en 23 frentes que operan en 16 departamentos del país.
El encuentro liderado por el Alto Comisionado para la Paz, Danilo Rueda, tendrá una duración de tres días, donde se discutirá una salida negociada con esta disidencia, el cese de secuestros y la no interferencia en las próximas elecciones territoriales del 29 de octubre.
