CAMILA OSORIO DEMUESTRA SU DOMINIO EN EL TENIS CON UNA VICTORIA EN EL WTA 250 DE BOGOTÁ
La tenista colombiana Camila Osorio debutó en el WTA 250 de Bogotá con una victoria sobre la canadiense Marina Stakusic. Osorio ganó en dos sets por 6-4 y 6-2, avanzando a los octavos de final del torneo. A pesar de algunos problemas con su saque, aprovechó múltiples quiebres para asegurar la victoria. Esta victoria marca su regreso al torneo después de una lesión en 2023. Osorio, la mejor clasificada en la WTA (85), ahora se enfrentará a la ganadora del partido entre Lucrezia Stefanini y Anca Alexia Todoni. Su objetivo es arrebatarle el título de campeona a Tatjana Maria. Con este resultado, Osorio busca convertirse en campeona local y continuar ascendiendo en el ranking WTA.
COLOMBIA BUSCA CUPOS OLÍMPICOS EN LA COPA MUNDO DE LEVANTAMIENTO DE PESAS EN TAILANDIA
La delegación colombiana de levantamiento de pesas está compitiendo en la Copa Mundo de Tailandia 2024 con el objetivo de asegurar cupos para los Juegos Olímpicos de París 2024. Seis pesistas colombianos están en búsqueda de su clasificación a través del ránking olímpico. Los competidores son Luis Javier Mosquera (73 kg), Yeison López (89 kg), Jhonatan Rivas (102 kg) y Óscar Garcs (102 kg) en la rama masculina, Yenny Álvarez (59 kg) y Mari Leivis Sánchez (71 kg) en la rama femenina. La competencia se extiende hasta el 11 de abril, con los colombianos compitiendo en diferentes días y horarios según su categoría de peso. La clasificación olímpica se basa en el ranking de clasificación Olímpica (OQR), donde los mejores 10 atletas por categoría de peso obtendrán su cupo a los Juegos Olímpicos. Los colombianos competirán en días específicos, destacando la participación de Yenny Álvarez, Luis Javier Mosquera y Yeison López en los primeros días del evento.
